International benchmarks for crude oil inched higher on the final trading day of the week, Friday, 23 July 2021 on the expectation that supply would remain tight throughout the year, regardless of the raging COVID-19 outbreak at part of the world.
Brent gained 31 cents, or 0.4% to $74.10/barrel.
WTI settled up 16 cents, or 0.2% to $72.07/barrel.
