Both Advent Packaging and Foong Chi Mould Industries Sdn Bhd agreed with the notion that i4.0 is a challenging road for plastic manufacturers to move further, but it is the only way.
Advent Packaging – a medium scale-packaging manufacturer that serve the agriculture, airlines, construction and mining sectors is now testing cloud computing at certain functions of the company and has complete intention to put the application into full practice at the manufacturing levels.
“Coming from the IT background, I have no other plan but to digitalize Advent Packaging as much as possible. This is to boost productivity and to serve the customer better,” Audrey Bong, Managing Director of the company, said. She added that In.Tech Conference provides an excellent platform to learn and to interact with the leaders in the field.
Meanwhile, Foong Chi Mould Industries Sdn Bhd partially upgraded the factory in October and is now ready to go full swing. The company has been serving the automotive sector in Asia, Middle Eastern, and Europe for more than two decades.
Mr. Lee, Founder and Managing Director of the company further explained, “Investment in i4.0 might need years to generate returns. But we decided to push ahead. The labor costs are increasing and technologies would help to bring down the costs.”
