Oil rose as companies suspended drillings ahead of the Ida hurricane
International benchmarks for crude oil jumped 2% on Friday, 27 August 2021 after energy firms started shutting operations in the Gulf of Mexico ahead of the Ida hurricane.
Brent rose $1.63 or 2.3% to close at $72.70/barrel.
WTI gained $1.32 or 2% to settle at $68.74/barrel.
