Taiwanese major lifted PVC prices, sold out in India

According to market sources, a major Taiwanese producer has announced August delivery prices for PVC cargoes with $40/ton hike from last month to reach $810/ton to China and Southeast Asia, and at $870/ton to India, all based on CIF, LC AS term. Export offers are reported at $780/ton FOB Taiwan, with the same payment term.

The maker reportedly sold out all available quantity to India market shortly after the new price announcement. A trader in this market commented, “Our supplier only has 15,000 tons allocation this month, which is still 50% below regular allocation. Most buyers are still asking for additional quantity, from which we think market might firm up further in the near term.”
