Oil fell more than 1% as China releases oil reserves
Global benchmarks for crude oil fell sharply on Thursday, 9 September 2021 after China rolled out the plan to release state oil reserves while weekly US crude inventories drop smaller than expected as refineries slow to recover from the hurricane.
Brent plunged $1.15 or 1.6% to close at $71.45/barrel.
WTI fell $1.16 or 1.7% to settle at $68.14/barrel.
