Shutdowns at China's FREP PP and PE unit

According to market sources, Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited (FREP) has shut its PP (old) unit and No. 2 PP unit today for scheduled turnaround, while its No. 1 PP unit is operating at 40-50% rate producing homopolymer PP (1080K) grade.

Meanwhile, the company also unexpectedly shut its No. 1 full-density PE unit due to issues on granulator.

Based in Fujian, China, the company has a 120,000 ton/year PP (old) unit, a 330,000 ton/year No. 1 PP unit, a 220,000 ton/year No. 2 PP unit, 450,000 ton/year No. 1 full density PE unit.
