Vietnam's Phu My Plastics and Chemicals changed name

According to a source from Phu My Plastics and Chemicals Co Ltd (PMPC), the company has changed its trading name to AGC Chemicals Vietnam Co Ltd, starting 23 June 2016, after its parent company - Asahi Glass Co Ltd (Tokyo) completed stake acquisition process.

Located in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Vietnam, AGC Chemicals Vietnam Co Ltd has nameplate production capacity of 150,000 tons/year suspension PVC which it supplies mostly to local market.

After PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad withdrew from the business in late 2012, AGC Group takes over 78% stake in PMPC while Mitsubishi Corp. holds 15%. Local partner Vung Tau Shipyard Corp holds the remaining 7% of the share.
