Oil market steadied on worries over a slower global economic recovery

International benchmarks for crude oil showed limited changes on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 as investors becomes concerned that surging energy prices could have a negative impact on the recovering progress of the global economy. The IMF has lowered the global growth forecast to 5.9% from the 6% it made in July. 

Brent fell 23 cents to close at $83.42/barrel.

WTI gained 12 cents to settle at $80.64/barrel.
