According to market sources, PT Polytama Propindo has decided to postpone maintenance shutdown at its PP plants to Jan 2017 from initial schedule in August this year. This is because its propylene supplier – Pertamina has scrapped its plan to shutdown refinery in bid to maintain gasoline stock levels after the peak driving season, which also results in continuous C3 output.

Located in Balongan, West Java, Indonesia, the unit is able to produce 440,000 ton/year of PP.
