Two Chinese provinces lifted power rationing, manufacturers resume full run rates
According to market sources, at least two provinces in North and East China have officially announced the lifting of power rationing, allowing the manufacturing sector here to resume normal operating rates after weeks of disruption.
Qinghai province in a statement on 22 October said that the province has achieved the target power consumption and companies in the area could restore the normal operating rates immediately until further notice. Other provinces in the Northwest region are still facing power shortages.
In Jiangsu, Eastern China, the local government has also lifted the rationing policies starting 22 October.
The development might support local demand to a certain extent; however, Chinese traders are watching out for further movement as a vast number of other provinces are still facing energy supply crunches
