Shenhua XinJiang to startup coal-based PP plant soon

According to market sources, Shenhua XinJiang Coal-Based New Materials Project is planning to startup it’s new methanol unit on 21-22 July 2016 following by PP unit, initial production aiming for homo-PP raffia (S1003) grade.

Located at Urumqi, China, the company has a 450,000 ton/year coal-based PP unit and a 270,000 ton/year coal-based PE unit. The plant is designed to produce 1.8 million tons/year methanol. According to a source closed to the company, the startup of the PE unit remain unconfirmed but will be later than PP.
