The second project involved a joint venture between PT Pertamina and Taiwan’s CPC to boost Pertamina’s current refining capacity at the Balongan complex to 150,000 barrels per day from the current 125,000 barrels per day. The $8 billion project would also develop a naphtha cracker producing 1 million tons of ethylene per annum.
