It is reported that China’s Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited has restarted its PP and No. 2 PP units today after a brief shutdown a week ago due to technical glitches. Both units have annual capacity of 120,000 ton/year and 220,000 ton/year respectively. Meanwhile, the 330,000 ton/year No. 1 PP unit remains operating at reduced rate and it is unclear on when the company would be able to achieve higher runs.

Sources also added that the troubled PE line also returned to operation last Friday (15 July) after some issues at granulator forced the company to take its off-stream on 11 July. The line produce 450,000 ton/year of PE grades.
