International benchmarks for crude oil surge sharply on Tuesday, 9 November 2021 to a two-week high after the US lifted travels restrictions that are expected to boost demand while supply remains tight. In other news, the US government said it would release more oil from the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve if the market overheated. 

Brent jumped $1.35 to settle at $84.78/barrel.

WTI rose $2.22 to close at $84.15/barrel.
