Thailand's HMC to shut No. 3 PP unit for maintenance

Market sources reported that HMC Polymers Co Ltd is planning to shut their No. 3 PP unit starting this week, expected to remain off-stream until August 2016.

Based in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the company has a 150,000 ton/year No. 1 PP unit, 300,000 ton/year No. 2 PP unit and a 300,000 ton/year No. 3 PP unit. The company has shut it’s No. 1 and No. 2 PP unit on mid of June and the production has been restarted on first half of July.
