China's CSPC shut polyolefin plants unexpectedly

According to market sources, CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Co (CSPC) has unexpected shutdown on its PP and PE plants over the weekend due to severe cold weather.
Located in Nanhai, Guangdong, China, the plants involved in the shutdown including a PP plant with capacity of 260,000 ton/year, a HDPE plant with capacity of 240,000 ton/year and a LDPE plant with capacity of 250,000 ton/year. The plant is expected to remain off-line for approximately 7-8 days.
