Shell restarted cracker in Singapore

According to market sources, Shell Singapore has successfully brought its troubled cracker online last weekend after nearly 9 months shutdown due a major technical malfunction. The company reportedly achieved on-spec output as of yesterday, 18 July and might slowly increase operation rate in the coming days.
Based in Bukom Island of Singapore, the cracker is able to produce 1 million tons/year of ethylene, 550,000 tons/year of propylene, 155,000 ton/year of butadiene and 780,000 ton/year of MEG.
