China's CSPC restarted PP and PE unit from emergency shutdown

According to market sources, CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Co (CSPC) has resumed it’s PP and HDPE units today and producing homo-PP injection (HP500N) after unexpected shutdown on 20 July as reported earlier.

Located in Nanhai, Guangdong, China, the plants involved in the shutdown including a PP plant with capacity of 260,000 ton/year, a HDPE plant with capacity of 240,000 ton/year and a LDPE plant with capacity of 250,000 ton/year. The company Is planning to restart its LDPE unit by tomorrow (23 July 2016).
