More Saudi Arabia producer announced new PE prices to Vietnam

A major Saudi Arabia PE maker reportedly announces fresh PE prices to Vietnam market today with $70/ton hike on LLDPE film cargoes compared to last month to reach $1240-1250/ton. Meanwhile, the maker only adjusted HDPE film price up by $10/ton to $1150/ton, CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A trader received the new offer commented, “The gap between LLDPE film and HDPE film is a little too large this time. We are planning to place bid at $50-60/ton discount on LLDPE cargoes given the fact that domestic market has slowed down significantly. Weakening energy market might also impact the general sentiment in the near term. For this, we think taking cautious stance might be a better option.”
