Oil fell more than 5% on Russia-Ukraine peace talks, China lockdown
International benchmarks for crude oil fell sharply on Monday, 14 March 2022 on the progress of the Russia-Ukraine talks to end the war while the worsening COVID-19 outbreak in China prompted lockdown that threaten the demand outlook.
Brent fell $5.77 or 5.1% to settle at $106.90/ton.
WTI fell $6.32 or 5.8% to close at $103.1/barrel.
