Maintenance shutdown at SINOPEC SABIC Tianjin's PP and PE unit

According to market sources, SINOPEC SABIC Tianjin Petrochemical Co Ltd (SSTPC) is planning to shut its PP and PE units for scheduled turnaround on 10 August 2016.

Based in Tianjin, China, the company has a 300,000 ton/year HDPE unit, 300,000 ton/year LLDPE unit and a 450,000 ton/year PP unit. The PP and PE units are expected to remain off-stream until 22 and 24 September respectively. Meanwhile, the company also planning to have schedule turnaround for its 1 million ton/year steam cracker by early August for 45 days.
