Oil market rose sharply as G7 leaders vowed new sanctions on Russia

International benchmarks for crude oil rose nearly $2/barrel on Monday, 27 June 2022 on the concerns that supply from Russia would continue to fall after G7 leaders propose additional measures to punish Russian for its aggression against Ukraine. 

Brent gained $1.97 or 1.7% to settle at $115.09/barrel.

WTI closed at $109.57/barrel, up $1.95 from the previous session.
