Major Qatar producer reduced LDPE offers to China

A major maker from Qatar reportedly decreased their LDPE film offers to China today by $5/ton compared to last week to reach $1155/ton, CFR China, LC AS term. In addition, the company did not offer any LLDPE film this week due to insufficient supplies.

The company source commented, ”We have adjusted our offers slightly downward this week owing to the recent weak sentiment and poor demand. We are not optimistic about the near term outlook, expecting prices shall be on the softer note as buyers are showing resistance continuously toward prices at the higher end of the offer level.”
