Oil slipped on disappointing gasoline inventory data in the US
International benchmarks for crude oil settled lower on Wednesday, 20 July 2022 after data from the Energy Information Agency (EIA) showed a buildup of 3.5 million barrels in the US’s gasoline inventory last week despite the peak summer driving season, signalling the softer demand condition.
Brent slipped 43 cents to close at $106.92/barrel.
WTI fell $1.96 to settle at $102.26/barrel.
