Oil gained slightly following the US inventory report

International benchmarks for crude oil settled slightly higher on Friday, 19 August 2022 as the latest report on the commercial crude inventory in the US continues to lend support to the market. However, the strengthening US dollar coupled with the lingering concerns over the economic outlook.

Brent gained 13 cents to settle at $96.72/barrel. 

WTI increased 27 cents to close at $90.77/barrel.
