Japan's Mitsubishi restarted Mizushima cracker

Market sources reported that Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has restarted its no. 3 cracker in Mizushima last Sunday, 14 August 2016 after a technical malfunction at its refrigeration system that forced the company to shutdown on 27 July.
The cracker is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Asahi Kasei Corporation, based in Mizushima, Japan. The production capacity of the unit is estimated to be 496,000 tons/year of ethylene after the shutdown. Normally, the unit is capable of producing 567,000 tons/year of ethylene and 320,000 tons/year of propylene.
