Major Thailand cuts HDPE offers in China

Market players reported that a major Thailand maker has reduced $5/ton for HDPE film and yarn offers to reach $1155/ton and $1160/ton respectively, both on CFR China, LC at sight term, for mid of September shipment.

A trader commented, “We are facing difficulties to conclude deals these days as buying interests are low. We are not confidence if this new price level will be accepted by our customers as there are sellers in the market offering similar cargoes for Taiwanese origin with about $5/ton cheaper but responses from the market is not encouraging.”
