Thai producer lifted PP, PE prices to Vietnam

A major Thailand producer reportedly lifted their HDPE yarn and PP block prices by $5/t and $30/t respectively compared to last week due to lack of sales pressure. The producer’s is currently offering HDPE yarn at $1110/t and PP block copolymer at $935/t, CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

The producer source commented, “We only have about 300 tons of HDPE in hand, hence we are not willing to give any discount this round. Last week we managed to sell quite well PP bock copolymer, in which we are free of sales pressure this week.”

Import prices to Vietnam currently stand at $1110/t for HDPE and $935-970/t for PP block copolymer, all on CIF, LC AS term.
