EIA: US commercial crude inventories continues to rise, export accelerated

Refineries in the country operated at 85.8 per cent of their operable capacity – a slight decrease from the previous week.

The US commercial crude inventories increased by another 1.2 million barrels in the week to 24 February 2023, marking the tenth consecutive week of rising stocks as refineries continued to reduce operating rates.

Commercial stocks stood at 480.2 million barrels – the highest level since May 2021, according to the Energy Information Administration. Meanwhile, total motor gasoline stocks dropped 900,000 barrels. 

Refineries in the country operated at 85.8 per cent of their operable capacity – a slight decrease from the previous week.

Net export rose more than 1 million barrels per day last week to 5.6 million barrels per day.
