Major distributor lifted local homo-PP prices in Vietnam

Vietnamese buyers on the first trading day of the week received fresh offers for locally produced homo-PP cargoes at VND500,000/ton ($22/ton) increased from last week, touching VND26,000,000/ton ($1060/ton without VAT) FD Vietnam, cash term for both yarn and injection grades.

A trader informed, “Buyers are not showing great appetite for the new prices yet, however we believed that market would remain on the stable to firmer trend in the near term. With locally produced material inched up, traders gain the support to push imported offers higher.”

Domestic homo-PP prices in Vietnam currently stand at VND25,400,000-26,000,000/ton ($1035-1060/ton without VAT) FD Vietnam, cash term.
