EIA: US crude inventory build-up slightly last week

Refineries in the countries operated at 89.3% of their operable capacity during the week, down from 89.6% the week before.

The latest report from the Energy Information Agency (EIA) showed a slight buildup of 600,000 barrels in the US commercial crude inventories in the week ending 7 April 2023 as export activities and refinery run rates dropped from the week before. 

At 470.5 million barrels, the crude stocks are about 3% above the five-year average for this time of year.

Refineries in the countries operated at 89.3% of their operable capacity during the week, down from 89.6% the week before.

Crude oil export dropped to nearly half of the previous week to about 2.727 million barrels.

The total gasoline inventory decreased by 300,000 barrels.
