Singapore's Prime Evolue started up new metallocene plant

Market sources reported that Prime Evolue Singapore Pte Ltd (EVLS), a joint venture between Prime Polymer Co Ltd (PRM) and Mitsui & Co, has started up its new metallocene polyethylene (mPE) plant since 25 August 2016.

Based in Jurong Island, Singapore, the new unit has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. According to a source closed to the company, there will be off-grade cargoes emerging in the market soon, following by prime-grade materials which expected to be out around September-October period.
