Emergency shutdown at China's Pucheng coal-based PP plant

According to market sources, Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut its coal-based PP unit today (29 August 2016) due to technical glitches, meanwhile, its upstream plant is still producing propylene as usual.

Located at Shanxi, China, the plant has annual MTO PP and PE units with a production capacity of 400,000 ton/year and 300,000 ton/year respectively. The restart schedule could not be ascertained.
