A key local producer in Indonesia reportedly lifted spot PP and PE offers over the weekend even though purchasing activities in this market has been softening.
A key local producer in Indonesia reportedly lifted spot PP and PE offers over the weekend even though purchasing activities in this market have been softening. Buyers showed stiff resistance towards the latest offers citing the squeezed margins as a result of the lethargic finished goods market.

In the PE market, supply for HDPE and LLDPE in Indonesia is curtailing rapidly as PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara has been winding down its operations to prepare for the upcoming overhaul. Nevertheless, offers above the IDR17,000,000/ton threshold are deemed unacceptable to many buyers.
“We expect trading sentiment to remain muted this week. Customers have stocked up the necessary quantities and currently resisting the higher price levels,” added, a trading house.
