The Anti-Dumping Committee of Indonesia (KADI) on Monday, 14 August 2023 initiated an investigation into the alleged dumping of PP block copolymer under the international Harmonized System (HS) heading 3902.30.90 imported from five countries, namely South Korea, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia and Singapore.

The investigation is carried out after KADI received and reviewed a petition from PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk claiming materials losses as a result of dumping activities from the above-mentioned countries.

The investigation is expected to take 12 months to complete with a possible extension to 18 months.

KADI has reached out to all involved parties, including the domestic industry, importers, associations, exporters/manufacturers, as well as representatives of the government in Indonesia requesting inputs.

Related associations are now preparing formal requests for dismissal since many of the grades included in the HS code are not produced locally at the moment.
