Oil prices slipped on Wednesday

International benchmarks for oil prices fell three straight sessions on Wednesday (31 August) as official US figures showed an unexpected rise in crude inventories. US Energy Department figures released on Wednesday showed that last week US commercial crude inventories rose 0.4 per cent to 525.9 million barrels. Stronger USD also helps pushing price down.
