Oil settled at nine-month highs on supply worries.
Both contracts were up about 2% this week following a strong gain in the previous week of 5% for Brent and 7% for WTI.
International benchmarks for crude oil rose to nine-month highs on Friday, 8 September 2023 following a surge in US diesel futures stemming from concerns that OPEC+ will keep the market tight going into the winter.
Brent gained 73 cents to close at $90.65/barrel.
WTI added 64 cents to close at $87.51/barrel.
