Indian maker lifted local PP, PVC prices, maintain PE offers

According to market sources, a major Indian producer has announced fresh price lists to local buyers this week with increases for PP and PVC cargoes while maintaining PE prices unchanged from last offering.

The latest prices indicated some INR3000/ton ($40/ton) hike on homo-PP yarn grade while other PP cargoes increased INR2000/ton ($27/ton). The maker also lifted PVC offers by INR1500/ton ($20/ton) from the last offering.

A market source informed, “Even with the latest price increment, we believed that demand for PP and PVC would remain healthy as currently local prices are still more competitive than international ground. Buyers however are showing resistance to LDPE film prices despite limited availability.”
