Shenhua auction platform kickstarted the new week with a satisfactory number of transactions as the producer maintained the auction prices on a stable to softer note compared to the previous session.

Shenhua auction platform kickstarted the new week with a satisfactory number of transactions as the producer maintained the auction prices on a stable to softer note compared to the previous session. It is noteworthy that deal prices for both homo-PP and LLDPE dropped about CNY20 – 30/ton, signalling the upside of the market might be capped.
Sources are monitoring closely the inventory digestion rates in days ahead to gauge the post-holiday market outlook.

Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co is currently the largest coal-based polyolefins producer in China, operates under four subsidiaries, namely: Shenhua Xinjiang Coal-based New Materials Project, Shenhua Yulin Energy Co Ltd, Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co Ltd and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (Ningmei).
The company has an annual capacity of 2.65 million tons/year of PP, 750,000 tons/year of HDPE/LLDPE and 570,000 tons/year of LDPE.
