International benchmark for crude oil settled lower on Thursday, 21 September 2023 after rising by as much as $1 a barrel after Russia imposed a temporary ban on the exports of gasoline and diesel with immediate effect. Fears over further interest rate hikes in the US weighed on the outlook.
Brent dropped 23 cents to close at $93.30/barrel.
WTI inched 3 cents lower to settle at $89.63/barrel.
