India's GAIL to produce metallocene PE in 2017

According to market sources, Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) is planning to run metallocene (mPE) grade by second half of 2017 using its existing LLDPE line. The line was newly started up in March 2016 and has annual capacity of 400,00 tons/year.

The company ramped up production rate at its LLDPE line to 70% by end of August and plan to stabilise the operation before switching to metallocene by mid 2017.
