Emergency shutdown at MRPL's PP plant

According to market sources, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has undertaken an unexpected shutdown at its PP plant due to technical glitch.

Located in Kartanaka, South India, the plant is having a PP capacity of 440,000 ton/year. The production is expected to be resume by this week.
