Thanks to the rebounded Dalian Commodity Exchange and Shenhua’s effort to lure customers back to the auction platform by cutting deal prices, the auction session concluded with concrete results.

Thanks to the rebounded Dalian Commodity Exchange and Shenhua’s effort to lure customers back to the auction platform by cutting deal prices, the auction session concluded with concrete results.
In fact, the coal-based producer offered discounts of CNY30/ton on homo-PP cargoes and CNY10/ton on LLDPE film cargoes compared to the previous day. Sources said that with the Two Session meeting concluded, bidders are more confident to proceed with new purchases.
Background:
Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co is currently the largest coal-based polyolefins producer in China, operates under four subsidiaries, namely: Shenhua Xinjiang Coal-based New Materials Project, Shenhua Yulin Energy Co Ltd, Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co Ltd and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (Ningmei).
The company has an annual capacity of 2.65 million tons/year of PP, 750,000 tons/year of HDPE/LLDPE and 570,000 tons/year of LDPE.
