Export carbide based PVC leaped higher

Asia PVC market is waiting for major Taiwanese producer to announce October delivery offers, however, Chinese carbide based PVC makers have already lifted their export prices this week by $15-20/ton claiming persistent high production costs and healthy domestic demand resulted in reduced export allocation.

A carbide based PVC producer open new prices at $870/ton FOB China, LC AS term commented, “We are still clearing backlog in local market and having minimal quantity to export this week. Due to higher production costs resulted from tighten environmental control and increased transportation costs, we have to lift our offers to protect profit margins. Southeast Asian buyers are not showing much interest in the latest price levels; while we believed domestic market would remain healthy in the coming days.”
