According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Chinese manufacturing activities expanded for the first time in six months in March, registering at 50.8 points compared to 49.1 points in February, which were largely driven by the production component sector.

The new orders gauge surged to 53.0 from 49.0 in the previous month with sub-index measuring new export orders rose to 51.3 points, breaking a 11-month slump while offering some relief that overseas demand is coming back.

The official non-manufacturing index that covers the service and construction activities also rose to 53.0 from 51.4 in the previous month.

Industry experts worried that the plummeting property market would continue to pose a challenge to China’s growth target this year.
