Taiwanese major sold out PVC allocation to India

According to market sources, a major Taiwanese PVC producer has sold out available allocation to India market just a day after announcing October delivery shipment with $40/ton increased from last month.

A trader in the country purchased the cargoes at $950/ton CIF India, LC AS term informed, “Our supplier concluded deal without any discounts. We and few other traders are requesting for additional quantity but not sure if there would be any available cargoes. Demand is healthy here and we think this condition might improve in the near term since pipe and profile converters are expecting a pick up in end product business after the Diwali festival.”

Market sources also reported strong buying interest in China market though there is no confirmation at the moment on whether the producer has sold out their allocation to this market.
