A series of petchem plants shutdown after fire struck Iran's Mobin complex

According to market sources, after a fire broke out at Mobin Petrochemical Refinery Complex located in the Southern Port of Assaluyeh, Iran on 14 September 2016, several other adjacent petrochemical plants were force to shutdown due to electricity outages. These included Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Jam Petrochemical Company and Mehr Petrochemical Company.
It is reported that Arya Sasol and Mehr Petrochemical has restarted their plants on 19 September 2016 while Jam Petrochemical might only be able to resume operation by 21 September 2016.
