Another Saudi maker announced October PP, PE prices to Vietnam

Market sources reported another major Saudi Arabia producer has rollover PP offers to Vietnam for October delivery while cutting PE prices by $20-30/ton. Latest price list stand at $1000/ton for homo-PP yarn and injection, $1040/ton for PP block copolymer, $1200 for LLDPE film and $1120/ton for HDPE film, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A distributor informed, “We maintain homo-PP prices but most of our customers are not responding. This could be due to sufficient purchases from the previous weeks. Meanwhile, many of our customers are placing bid for LLDPE film at $1180/ton claiming that they are able to obtain this price from other suppliers. We are discussing with out principal supplier, yet we think this should be the acceptance levels now as local demand is very slow.”
