Trading sentiment on the Shenhua auction platform remained healthy at the opening of the new trading day thanks to the support from the resilient futures market. However, compared to the previous session, the number of transactions has dropped slightly as a result of higher auction prices.
Data from CommoPlast showed that the auction price for homo-PP rose by CNY150/ton from the last session while LLDPE added CNY100/ton. The development indicated the growing resistance among Chinese bidders.

Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co is currently the largest coal-based polyolefins producer in China, operates under four subsidiaries, namely: Shenhua Xinjiang Coal-based New Materials Project, Shenhua Yulin Energy Co Ltd, Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co Ltd and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (Ningmei).
The company has an annual capacity of 2.65 million tons/year of PP, 750,000 tons/year of HDPE/LLDPE and 570,000 tons/year of LDPE.
