Indian government imposed temporary anti-dumping duties on imported PVC paste from six countries

The Indian Ministry of Finance on 13 June 2024 published an official notification in the Gazette of India pertaining to the implementation of a temporary anti-dumping duty (ADD) on imported PVC paste from six countries

The Indian Ministry of Finance on 13 June 2024 published an official notification in the Gazette of India pertaining to the implementation of a temporary anti-dumping duty (ADD) on imported PVC paste from six countries, namely China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Norway.    

The provisional anti-dumping duty shall be in effect for six months starting from the date of the publication. Impacted products fall into the following Harmonized System (HS) codes: 39041010, 39041020, 39041090, 39042100, 39042200, 39043010, 39043090, 39049000, 39044000 and 39049090.

Several sub-category products are exempted from the provisional anti-dumping duty including: 

·      PVC paste resins with a K value of less than 60K

·      PVC blended resins, copolymers of PVC paste resins

·      battery separator resins

·      and polyvinyl chloride paste resins under the brand name "Biovyn" manufactured by Innovyn Europe Ltd.
